A symposium, "Domestic and International Considerations of Being Polish American or Polish in Today's World", led by Professor Mieczyslaw B. Biskupski, Ph. D., Stanislas A. Blejwas Endowed Chair of Polish and Polish American Studies, Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT; Jim Ogonowski, Republican Candidate for the 5th Massachusetts Congressional District, Dracut, MA; and a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, Washington, DC.
The full program will also provide an opportunity for the audience to question and interact with members of the panel in forum style, along with a reception, banquet, and musical entertainment.

$1,000 Harriet Irsay Scholarship Grant
Since 1992, the Scholarship Committee of the American Institute of Polish Culture in Miami has awarded over $150,000.00 in scholarship aid to over 150 talented American students of Polish descent.
This year, the Committee decided to broaden the scope of majors and other requirements in order to reach a larger population of students. Starting this year the Institute will award ten to fifteen scholarship grants of $1,000 each, for the 2007/2008 academic year.
